Al Anderson (Nashville, Santa Fe) ­ Al is a very important part of The Expo and one of our greatest songwriters, guitarists, and artist/performers. He was a founding member of the legendary rock group, NRBQ and has had numerous big country hits including “Another Trip Around The Sun,” “The Cowboy In Me,” “Unbelievable” ­ #1 for George Strait, and many more. We appreciate his loyalty and commitment to The Expo. “Big Al” has also just had multiple songs on the new Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow.

Brooke Arrington (Nashville) ­ Creative Director/A&R at Red Vinyl Music. Prior Creative Director at Big Yellow Dog plugging for a stellar list of writers including Josh Kear (“Before He Cheats,” “Need You Now”), Karyn Rochelle (“Georgia Rain”) and Big Al Anderson (“The Cowboy In Me”). Brooke joined Red Vinyl Music in 2013, home to hit writers including Bigger Picture artist

Ross Asher (Nashville) – Senior Creative Director at Razor & Tie in Nashville. His accomplishments include various placements on television networks CBS, ABC, ESPN, NBC and has worked with multi­platinum artists such as Jars of Clay and Third Day. Currently Ross is on the Board of Directors for the Nashville Chapter of the Association of Independent Music.

Bill Attebery (Kelseyville) ­ Bill is the Emcee for The Expo, has been a drummer for many years, and is the founder of The Recovery Broadcast Network which is an Internet and television ­based organization that works.

Mark Bliesener (Denver) – Head of Band Guru Management and has over 30 years experience as a performer, critic, publicist, and personal manager. Mark has received 16 Gold and Platinum records from recording artists whose careers he’s managed including Lyle Lovett, Big Head Todd & The Monsters and the Nitty Grity Dirt Band.

Gary Bowen (LA) –Director of Creative Affairs at SQE. Gary brings Artist Management, Label A&R, and Publishing experience together for SQE. His songwriters have written for Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus, Rob Thomas, Sugarland and many more.

Lisa Carver (Nashville) – Americana and Country hit songwriter. Lisa is one of the most respected writers in Nashville. She has written songs for country superstars Tim McGraw, Tanya Tucker, Emerson Drive, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, and Sugarland’s #1 “Everyday America.” Lisa has mastered the power of crafting a song that can hold an audience!

Melissa Chapman (Chicago, NYC) – President of Groove Garden. Melissa has licensed music and intellectual property for big brand commercials and little specialty projects alike since 2007, including major campaigns for Target, Estee Lauder, Bottega Veneta, Wrigley, Tecate, Foster Farms, Vancouver Olympics, Vizio, and most recently, JC Penney. On the big screen, Melissa has cleared songs for the Sundance favorite Pecados De Mi Padre, Damsels in Distress, Francine, and the upcoming indie flick, The Longest Week.

Chris Cole (Dallas) ­ Chris Cole has publishing offices in both Nashville and Dallas and is the President of Main Gate Music Group with 4 different labels. He’s produced records for MCA, Starsongs Records, Inside Records, and has written for BMG Music Publishing. He’s the head of the Dallas based sound/p.a. company, Soundbridge, which has graciously in the past provided the wonderful P.A. system for the Expo.

Chris Daniels (Denver) – CU Denver head of the Music Business Program. Chris was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2013. He is owner of Moon Voyage Records and Publishing, and a producer. His band, Chris Daniels and the Kings, has backed some of the best acts. As a singer he’s been featured in commercials. Chris’ music has had numerous placements in TV. When he was Exec Director of Swallow Hill Music Association the organization won the Governor’s Award and Mayor’s Award.

Greg Downs Greg Downs, like so many in our camp, has a LOT going on. And yet he makes time for the Expo to co-engineer the great sound that the we have become noted for. Jon Ernst (LA) – Jon Ernst is currently the composer for the hit show, Duck Dynasty. He is Owner / Executive Producer at Show Runner Music LLC, Owner of Beat This! Music and Music Supervisor / Composer at MTV Networks. His long list of credits includes The Hills and Laguna Beach for MTV, The World According to Paris Hilton for Oxygen and L.A. Ink for TLC.

Greg Federspiel (LA) – Director A&R at RCA Record and manager of new RCA recording artist, Smallpools. Previously A&R at Warner Bros Records working with Jason Derulo, Josh Groban, Jack’s Mannequin, The Ready Set, Never Shout Never, Outasight and more. He also worked at Complete Control for three years handling the day-­to-­day management for the world renowned DJ, Tiesto.

Shea Fowler (Nashville) ­ Creative Director at Cornman Music (founded by hit songwriter Brett James). Shea began her professional career as a performer and has worked in the entertainment industry since the age of two. She moved into A&R for Big Machine Label Group working with artists such as Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Reba, and The Band Perry.

Ciara Gardener (Nashville) ­ Creative Director, A&R Coordinator at Disney Music Publishing, Nashville. Ciara has managed the catalogs of Disney Nashville’s writer roster since 2009. Recent Nashville chart toppers include “Mine Would Be You” (Blake Shelton), “I Drive Your Truck” (Lee Brice), “Drink On It” (Blake Shelton), “Let Me Down Easy” (Billy Currington), ”You Look Good In My Shirt” (Keith Urban), and “The Climb” (Miley Cyrus).

Steve Garvan (Idaho) ­ CEO & Expediter at Garvan Media, Management & Marketing. Current Management roster includes Big Wide Grin, Chris Daniels, Michael Kelsh, Lenou (France), and Tom Roznowski. Steve has managed a number of artists over the years and has also served as booking agent and radio station music director in the past. Steve is a former Swallow Hill Music Association President and VP of Strategic Planning, Americana Music Association Founding Council member, a longtime member of NARAS, AMA, CMA and Folk Alliance, and has been in the music business over 30 years.

Chris Gelbuda (Nashville, Chicago, LA) ­ Producer and Writer for Nashville’s Big Yellow Dog Music. Chris has penned songs for major artists, including: Billy Currington, Chris Young, Sabrina Carpenter, and the recent Billboard Chart topping Meghan Trainor. Chris has played on and produced recordings with Lupe Fiasco, Meghan Trainor, John Legend, and Japanese Cartoon.

Richard Harris (LA) ­ Originally from England, Richard is an Expo success story. As a result of winning our WWAHM (pop) song contest he hooked up with publisher Steven Melrose and signed as a writer with peermusic. Richard has numerous Film/TV placements on shows like ONE TREE HILL, COLD CASE, and THIRD WATCH. He’s had charting successes abroad, including a recent #1 Billboard dance hit!

Nick Haussling (LA) – A&R at Warner Bros. Records. Nick is one of three people to survive Warner Bros’ purchase of Giant Records. He has credits working with Disturbed, Art Of Dying, Cavo, The Veronicas, Seal, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Steely Dan and Guster, as well as soundtracks for the Elfman/Burton 25th Anniversary Box Set, Transformers 1 & 2, Inception, Inglorious Bastards, Book Of Eli, The Watchmen, 300, The Devil Wears Prada and The Departed. Nick's most recent signing of note was that of New Zealand singer/songwriter Kimbra.

Jack Hayford (Nashville) ­ is co-­founder of (our highly ranked online home!), and is a songwriter, promoter, and Internet marketing consultant. John Ozier (Nashville) ­ General Manager Creative at Ole Music Publishing in Nashville. Prior, John was VP of A&R Curb Records and he’s placed songs with by Tim McGraw, Rodney Atkins, Clay Walker, Lee Brice, LeeAnn Rimes and more. He has more than 15 years of experience discovering, developing, and growing artists, entertainers worldwide.

Bobby Rymer (Nashville) – Director and Head of Publishing at Writer’s Den Music Group Nashville. Previously VP/GM of Almo/Irving/Rondor representing diverse catalogues from rockers Peter Frampton and Bruce Springsteen to Americana icon Patty Griffith to Country legend Kent
