Short Delay in Announcing WWAHM Winners

Hey everybody, mrJack here at WWAHM central. I know many of you are watching for the announcement of this contest's winners but we have to delay the call for a few days, sorry.

We took WWAHM online for the first time this year and you BETA boys and girls know that we have had some issues...not big ones...but a few tweaks need to be made.

One of the issues is getting the songs moved forward to the appropriate ears and ultimately to the publishers and songwriters involved for their evaluation. We are in that process right now but not all "ears" (some REQUIRED) are available until the first of the week. So I'm gonna say TUESDAY we will have the winners and runner-ups ready to announce.

We have had some good feedback, positive and negative, from participants and fans alike.

We need to clean up the voting process. There is a slight disconnect somewhere between the voting and the comments. We also have had some browser issues and we are on that too. We have people with a lot of votes...we also have people with NO VOTES...already in the final mix. Isn't it fun to listen to other submissions and vote and/or comment? We think so but we'll see what you all have to say as the program evolves further.

Already someone wrote and said, "hey, how can I buy [such and such] a track?" That's part of the evolution of WWHAM as well! If you want, you will soon be able to sell downloads of your submitted track(s)...and keep almost all the money! There are even more exciting features in the works.

Thanks so much to everyone for paying attention and working with The Expo to make it better and better all the time. This may be the BEST Expo ever coming up in October...awesome location, facilities and TALENT! (Another killer guest to announce next week!)

Early Expo arrivals and Denver area locals join us Wednesday, October 6th from 6:30 ON at The Walnut Room for our traditional "Expo Goes to Town" get together. Music of course, laughter on demand...FUN way to meet some new people...and GOOD FOOD in a hip venue!

The Walnut Room located at 3131 Walnut Street is "Denver’s premiere American-Pizzeria, serving up great food, affordable drinks, and today’s best live music. Important Note about the Next Expo in Boulder/Broomfield Oct 7-9, 2010: The rooms we have reserved at the magnificent Omni Hotel (what a place!) are going fast now. DON'T GET LEFT OUT OF STAYING WHERE THE ACTION IS! Truly, your experience of the Expo will not be complete unless you stay and the hotel. It's a 24/7 kind of event. Writers and industry guests spill out into the hallways, gather on the balconies and poolside (terrific pool area at the Omni!) do not want to could miss an important networking opportunity. Double up with others if necessary but try to stay at the hotel. We may even be able to help you find a room with Jim!
