That hangs on my wall
Of a young rebel soldier
Heard my grandpa recall
He joined Stonewall's Brigade
When he turned seventeen
Had this photograph made
That hangs right there between

Stonewall Jackson
And Robert E. Lee
Eighteen sixty three
Grandpa's great grandpa
Young rebel between
Stonewall Jackson
And Robert E. Lee

He wears butternut grey
A homespun uniform
Made by his old mother
When he went off to war
The day my grandpa died
Grandma gave it to me
Drove a nail in my wall
Hung him right there between
