Tim Young aka Hell's Kitchen Rock n Roll Legend

by Tim Young
(New York, New York)

Tim in the 'Kitchen'

Tim in the 'Kitchen'

Born in Pennsylvania, son. Easton to name the place. A Boomer from 1950. Raised on rock n roll radio and the British 'invasion', Soul, Pop, Doo Wop, Motown and the finest Punk Rock, namely The Clash, Ramones and Sex Pistols because they made it all Fresh again. Influences.

These days my electric guitars have been gathering a dust ball because I've been strumming my amazing Martin acoustic that I found four years ago. It aids in my writing of great pop songs. I perform these hits all around my New York City neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen. That's where the 'legend' comes from. I've been performing constantly in different bars here for five years now. Electric Banana, Bellevue, Siberia, and Vintage to name a few.

Late this 2007 or early 2008 my third CD will be released. It's THE COST and is the follow up to RED which I released in 2005. My first CD was a collection of original instrumentals known as NO STRANGER. RED was my singer/songwriter debut CD.

RED has been featured on podcasts from the USA and the UK. Mike Stephen's, The Open Mike; Rob Safuto's, Podcast NYC; Mike Will's, HotDish; and Nic Treadwell's, Homegrown. Hits such as 'Work Today,' 'Salvation,' and 'The Road,' have been splashed all over this plethora of podcasts.

THE COST is a great collection of rock and pop spiced with a dash of real country music. Topics include some heros, Jack Kerouac and Hank Williams, some loves lost and the state of affairs we deal with every day in the USA.
