The Darlins-Erinn Bates and Jude Toy
Erinn Bates and Jude Toy are like night and day. One was born in the eighties and raised in the South. The other is a child of the seventies born on the West Coast. However, they do have a few major things in common: They both write incredible country songs and have worked with some of the biggest and best hit writers in Nashville, have opened for major headlining country acts, have an edge and drive to succeed in this business, and have an incredible IT factor that sets them apart from the rest. How did they come together? They also happen to love makeup. Bates and Toy met at the internationally renowned cosmetic company, Sephora in 2006, where Jude was a manager, and Erinn was a makeup artist. The two began working as a duo in September of 2008 and decided to call themselves, The Darlins, after the duo that Jude started when she lived in LA. At first, they decided to write some songs and play around town for fun, but as soon as they hit the first stage together, they realized they had something special. After a couple of shows, the pair developed relationships with more hit songwriters, major producers, and publishers began taking notice. With songs they have written together, they are now hitting the stages of some of the most legendary venues in town and opening for major country artists.
