The Gothic Theater New years Eve. 2007

Born in Queens, Ny. 1968. Christian Blochinger grew up in the Mts of Northern NJ, attended College at Florida Institute of technology where he studied Environmental Sciece and outside of class and inside the 15 acre Tropical Jungle located on campus he learned hand drumming from international students from Africa, the Caribbean and Middle East. After graduation moved to Colorado and after years of playing Blues, Rock, Folk, Bluegrass and Jam Music, he immersed himself in the world of Celtic Music, formed a band, bought a tour bus and started to hit the road, drumming and managing the band POTCHEEN. Having played over 1000 shows and festivals in 30 states...and surviving a major accident in Missouri last spring with a Semi..he healed, bought another bus and is back on the road.

Mixing world percussion with a drum kit and orchestral instrumentation, he fuses traditional styles with modern rock and improvisational stylings...oh yeah..he sings too!

Having run open mics for the past ten years, he backs up almost any musician of any genre music.

Come out Friday night to the Open Mic at the Durango Songwriters Expo and if you're playing, ask him to join in...
