At only 14 years old, Roxy King is well on her way to meeting her career goals. She was just 3-1/2 years old when she announced to her parents that she was saving her money and was going to Hollywood. Roxy has been undeterred in that vision for the past 11 years and now splits her time between Hollywood and her longtime home in Boulder, Colorado.
As a writer/artist, Roxy plays piano and guitar and writes/co-writes original music. Her songs range from ballads to pop and tell stories of missing her grandmother ("It's Really Not Goodbye"), hanging out with friends ("Unforgettable" and "Let's Have Some Fun"), the challenges of being an artist ("When Is It My Time?") and more.
Roxy received her first music placement in the film "Serotonin Rising" (to be released 2010) in which she also performed as a singer and actress. Her first music video was released in May 2010. As a vocalist, Roxy can sing a strong high F in her second bridge - an excellent range for someone of her age. Over the past year, Roxy has enjoyed performing her music live at various venues in LA. She recorded her first EP in June 2009 and is a registered member of ASCAP.
As a talented young actress as well, Roxy is signed by prominent LA talent agent Mitchell Gossett of UTA who is known for his ability to spot and develop young talent such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, AnnaSophia Robb, and more.
Interestingly, Roxy has also been successful in the field of broadcast journalism. As a celebrity reporter, Roxy has interviewed many young musicians such as the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Jordan Pruitt, KSM, Honor Society and others about their passions and their lives in the world of music. Their advice to her? "If you have a dream, never give up" ... And that's the advice that Roxy is living by!
