CD Cover for the Album

Ron Schaffer began studying guitar at the age of eight, and later went on to study both Contemporary Rock and Folk music. Eventually, Ron began writing his own music, performing in bands, and releasing his own albums of original compositions.

Ron’s music is a combination of cleverly crafted lyrics and arrangements, accompanied by a deep and distinctive bass voice. The accompanying instrumentation is sparse and thoughtful, allowing the story of the song to take center stage and play upon the imagination of the listener. Ron’s vocals capture the storytelling element of music that has its roots in the American musical tradition.

“Songwriter’s Collection: Volume 1” is an album of songs that Ron has written about his travels around the globe. These songs contain descriptive lyrics of people and places from distant locations, and they are performed in the musical styles of Americana, Country, and Folk.

The album has been receiving very positive feedback; currently, it has been played on radio stations in Texas, New Mexico, and Nebraska. Ron has been performing these songs at sold out shows in Las Vegas, as well as throughout the American Southwest.

"This may be an unfamiliar name to you but Ron is a superb singer/songwriter...He has travelled far and wide and has had airplay all over the world. My picks of the CD include Open Highway and Lady Tomorrow."
- Dave Walker, Cross Country Magazine (Sheffield, England) (Oct 04, 2010)

"Ron Schaffer's new album has well written tunes and great musicians. It's great American Country as his real life stories make it more than just an interesting collection but one that you must own."
- Glenda Montgomery, Nashville Music Guide (Jun 03, 2010)

"A great outlaw singer songwriter with great songs and a beautiful sound!! For me it's very hard to name favorites, all songs are well worth to be heard and played!!"
- Ray en Elly Pieters, Radio Milo on 103.1 FM in Milo, Holland (Jan 09, 2003)
