Praying For A Miracle

Praying for a Miracle

I woke up from my dreams
Time to face reality
I had never thought
That you would run so deep
Well I'm sitting here now
We had it all
We had it made
But I didn't ever think
Of what you ended up doing
Now I'm just wasting away

Praying for a miracle

I pray for it, I crave for it
With these sewn wings, I'd die for it
I'm broken, I'm battered, torn and bruised
And in the end, I realize.
You were the one who was used.

I'm driving down the interstate
Pushing one hundred ten.
I'm not sure what the hell I'm thinking
Was it all worth it then?
The cop comes out, I step outside
He says "Son, are you trying to die?"
I tell him everything, he let's me go.
He said "If she ever comes home, where would you be now?"
Got home, beat my pillow senseless, cried myself to sleep

I went to my parents house,
time to rebuild their fence
I wasn't myself, they knew, it was like a sixth sense
I played it off with a smile and told them I'd be back
On the highway, our song came on
Tears streamed down my face
I looked over and here comes a semi
I scream out that I'm ready to die.
Swerving into his lane, not caring about the outcome,
He gets over and makes me miss, I'm shaken nearly to death
I'm praying for a miracle
I don't know if you'll come home

I pray for it, I crave for it
With these sewn wings, I'd die for it
I'm broken, battered, torn and bruised.
And in the end I realize
You were the one who was used.
