Born London UK 1944 and now at almost 69 (April 2013) and living in Australia I am now finding the time to do the things with music I always wanted to do. I spent a lifetime doing other things such as Electronics Technical Service and Professional Sales to earn a living to raise my family.
Singing and acting since five in every amateur or semi-pro opportunity I could make time for kept my love of music alive in spite of full-time work.
Now I write songs and music using computer and am trying to make up for lost time with learning more music theory and guitar.
What brought me to the Durango site was purely a coincidence in that I just spent two days writing a piece of music which I ended up calling "Durango Tango". I had never heard of the site but today just typed Durango in the Google search window for the hell of it and up came this website!
As I am self-taught mainly I know that my music does not follow formal ways of writing it, but I do seem to come up with what my family at any rate thinks are some pleasant sounding pieces.
Maybe someone out might like to listen to "Durango Tango" to see if they think it has promise or could have words added to make it a singable piece?
I have lodge a couple of my songs on CdBaby.com and Itunes.
I don't have wild dreams of fame, but it would be nice to have come up with a song or tune that brings happiness to others before my life is completed.
