Meghan Trainor: 16 year old singer/songwriter/producer

At just 16, Meghan has already been writing music for 5 years; she performed in the band Island Fusion for 4 years (she performed,guitar, keyboards, auxiliary percussion and vocals); and she is an award winning songwriter.

2009-2010 have been her biggest years so far, winning Best Female Artist in the International Acoustic Music Awards, She was a semi finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, she was also chosen to be a featured performer at
The Bitter End in NY, and The Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. She was featured at the ASCAP EXPO in LA this past April for her work in a songwriting contest.

Meghan has attended the Berklee College of Music's 5 week Performance Program for the past 2 summers and was awarded a full scholarship to return next summer.
She is a full-time high school student and performs as a vocalist and trumpet player in their award winning Jazz Band and as a vocalist and songwriter in their award winning Trebel Chorus.

Meghan also takes guitar lessons from Johnny Spampinato, member of the legendary band NRBQ.

She has written a song called Take Care of Our Soldiers. All proceeds form the iTunes and Amazon.com sales of this song go to THE USO and CAPE COD CARES FOR OUR TROOPS. She has performed this song at many events for these 2 organizations, as well as a live performance on Boston's FOX NEWS.

Meghan writes, performs, records and produces all of her music herself at home. She can write any genre of music including Pop, Hip-Hop, Acoustic, Reggae, Soca and Jazz
