Lil' Johnny

by Seth Logerquist

Once there was a city
It was rundown place
Black shirts ruled the land
There was a boy named Johnny
He ruled the city’s sins
Oh Lil’ Johnny
Guns blazed and he ran
Powder crashing on the streets
Oh he ran, he ran, he ran
Rain on the streets
Shirts hit by rain on the street
Blue Uniforms walking down the street
Painted Cars driving on the wet streets
People in the alleys
Lil Johnny was one of them
People afraid of walking the streets
Then more,more,more powder
Lil Johnny ran he ran
People pumping in too much
Then they hid in the basements
Lil Johnny was their Savior
Then silence
Johnny breathed his last breath
