IN EVERY TOWN

VERSE I
There’s a music store
That’s found in every town
A school for the young ones
A college for rowdy teens…
You’ll find a noisy ambulance
Dashing to an accident scene
You’ll find some broken streetlights
And of course, some stinking dumpsters…
TO CHORUS

You’ll find a fast food outlet
And perhaps a corner pub
You’ll find a hometown church
And perhaps a hidden park…
You’ll find a struggling motel
And perhaps an ice-cream shop
And then there’s the music store
That’s found in every town…

VERSE II
Beauty shop down the road
An auto dealer next to it
Then you’ll find a shopping mall
And perhaps a grocery store…
Still halfway down the corner
You’ll find a filling station
Firefighters have their place
Just next, to that, new club…
TO CHORUS

BRIDGE
The plumber hates the mechanic
Whoremongers and the idlers;
The cobbler makes all panic
Drunkards and the gamblers…
And that’s the Sheriff’s headache:
TO CHORUS

REPEAT CHORUS
OUTRO
In every town…

END
