Friends of the Expo—Nate Lowry

From the Expo: Nate Lowry will make his first appearance at the Expo in Boulder/Broomfield 2010. Welcome aboard Nate!

Nate Lowery grew up in Muscle Shoals watching the songwriting business first hand as his father, songwriter Donny Lowery, scored big with songs like Old Flames (Alabama) and Wrong or Right (Restless Heart).

After moving to Nashville he began his career at Windswept Publishing, in the time honored tradition of working in the tape copy room. From there he was hired by Chris Oglesby to help build his new company, Oglesby Writer Management, which is part of 19 Entertainment, producers of American Idol.

His next move was to the newly formed Cornman Music, owned by hit songwriter Brett James who is venturing into producing after hitting the top of the charts with songs like "Out Last Night" and "Jesus Take The Wheel." Nate is the creative director of Cornman Music and does A&R for the acts Brett is producing. His writers are, Kip Moore, Justin Weaver, Caitlyn Smith and Brett James.
