IN LOVING MEMORY

DON WAS THE ORIGINAL DRUMMER OF INNOCENTS BAND AS WELL AS SINGER/SONGWRITER, WITH HERB ALBERT AS MANAGER.

DON WAS THE DRUMMER IN THE RECORDERS BIG BAND,(HIS BROTHER CARL WAS THE LEADER).
DON WAS WITH THE TRANS ALASKAN PIPELINE BAND AS DRUMMER, THE CLIMAX BLUES BAND, SINGER/SONGWRITER, DRUMMER, AS WELL AS BACKING UP TOMMY SANDS ON DRUMS.

DON ALSO PLAYED LAS VEGAS SHOW BOAT, AND SEVERAL OTHER GROUPS. DON HAD TO LEAVE THE INNOCENTS BAND TO ENTER THE AIR FORCE STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND BAND, AS INSTRAMENTALIST, SINGER, AND ANNOUNCER. DON BACKED UP BOB HOPE IN USO SHOWS,

Air Force 523 Band at March AFB NEW

If Don was the same Don Vasta....we were in the Air Force together. What a wonderful guy & singer! We were in a small group...we played around town & at the officers club & NCO club ...with Frank Verdugo, Greg Mathon, Cookie the Bass player & wonderful Don.
