Craig-O Ringland
Raised in the Midwest, Craig-O was immersed in music at a young age by a father who played the harmonica, a mother who played the autoharp, and a brother who studied the trombone. These influences lead the young dreamer to ask his parents for his first guitar on his 11th birthday.
Craig-O's initial attempt at songwriting & performing was around the age of 12 with a tolerable garage band. His skills continued to develop during high school and it was in his early college years when he joined two established musicians to create an acoustic
trio. This was when he got his first taste at playing in local clubs performing the music of James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Neil Young & Dylan along with some original numbers. It was also during this period that he was heavily influenced by the talented harmonica sounds of a local blues artist. Because of this influence, he was fueled to begin learning basics and some blues riffs on the harmonica.
After his college years, he migrated out to the desert southwest where he continues to sharpen his songwriting and playing skills. Craig-O also performs at local venues, open-mics and private parties.
As his proficiency grew and his songwriting talent blossomed, his efforts resulted in the 12 original songs he released on his debut album "Songs from the Saddle" during June of 2005. Having this accomplishment in his rearview mirror, Craig-O has become immersed in experiencing with upbeat tempos resulting in a fresh selection of songs with solid well-built compositions that are drawn straight from today's experiences.
Here's a guy who's in this for the long haul and has been successful in establishing himself as a creditable songwriter among his peers. His music has a way of touching a person's soul by combining story lines and lyrics with memorable melodies.
