Coleman Dickson is a 16 year-old award winning, singer/songwriter from Boulder, Colorado. Coleman wrote his first song when he was 11 years old and has been writing and composing songs ever since.
To date he has written over thirty songs. He sings and plays guitar solo as well as with his teen rock band Century. Century recently took the top prize at the 2014 Boulder CreekFest Battle of the Bands.
In addition to his solo CD, Coleman’s band, Century, has also recorded an LP. He can often be found busking on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall.
Initially Coleman focused on playing and writing rock music but has branched out to include songs in the pop genre but he also loves to play the blues. His musical influences range from Joe Bonamassa,
Led Zeppelin, the Foo Fighters to John Mayer. He welcomes any and all opportunities to play and jam with other like-minded musicians.
Coleman has performed all around the Denver metro area including The Fox Theatre, The Boulder Theatre, eTown Hall, Herman’s Hideaway, Cervantes’, and the band shell in Boulder’s Central Park. He was invited to perform at eTown Hall in Boulder at a high school songwriting competition, and was also awarded a scholarship to attend the inaugural Summer Music Industry Program at the University of Colorado at Denver in the summer of 2014.
Coleman has also recently been selected to represent the Colorado Blues Society at the upcoming International Blues Competition in Memphis, TN in January 2015.
