Brendan McKinney Expo Successes

McKinney Signs "Music City" Deal - Hollywood Licenses Songs For TV

Nashville, March 17 -- Singer/songwriter Brendan McKinney... recognition for his songs, signing with a Nashville record label and earning national TV exposure.
McKinney, who for years played to a loyal fanbase in Delaware and Montgomery counties, recently signed with Nashville's Adroit Records, which features his song "Yeah She Does" on its recent CD release, "Words and Music," a compilation of some of Music City's best song writers.
"McKinney has an honest, earthy, visceral sound that speaks not only to true country, but real Americana,” says Adroit Records President Jim Tract.
A separate contract with Riptide Music, a Los Angeles-based company that licenses songs for TV and film, has opened the door for selections from McKinney's latest CD, "My Dad's Car" to air on TV shows, in 2009. McKinney's blues-driven "You Got It Wrong" is scheduled to air at the end of this month, Tuesday, March 31, at 9 p.m. on TNT's "Trust Me." ("Just Like Z's Blues" aired Jan. 25, on Showtime's "United States of Tara.")
