At Calvary

by Rachael Basdeo
(Geogetown, Guyana)

Two thousand years ago
Ago man made history
He lived without committing sin
Still they nail him to a tree
Wounded for our transgression
Bruised for iniquities
Do you really know what happen?
At this place called Calvary

At Calvary my sins were erase
At Calvary Jesus took my place
At Calvary there is amazing grace
Oh I thank God for this place called Calvary

The preacher of the cross
Is little heard today
But I am not ashame of it
For this cross has power to save
Sin will leave you empty
Born by guilt and shame
Oh but there is hope in Jesus
Cleansing power falls throughout his vain

At Calvary my sins were erase
At Calvary Jesus took my place
At Calvary there is amazing grace
Oh I thank God for this place called Calvary

At Calvary my sins were erase
At Calvary Jesus took my place
At Calvary there is amazing grace
Oh I thank God for this place called Calvary
