A Very Special Opportunity for a Few Artists!

The Durango Film and TV Showcase--

It's a bit of a secret, but the annual Durango Film and TV Showcase (6 years old) has been equally as successful as the 21 year-old Durango Songwriters Expo... hundreds of songs/tracks have been licensed through this "under the radar" event.

Why is it such a secret? Well, it's not really a secret, it's just not an event that we can widely promote because it's not for everybody.

Unlike our twice-a-year Expo, it's not enough to be a songwriter to get great value from the Film and TV event. Because the 30-40 Film and TV Supervisors who come to this event looking for sync material have very very specific needs and demands:

All songs presented for Film and TV use have to be high-quality master recordings, not demos. In addition, every track auditioned must be ready for license-clearance. The producers/publishers/songwriters in attendance must have all their "ducks in a row": There can be no question about the ownership of the songs AND THE MASTERS. All the paperwork has to be done in advance.

In fact, at this event, more producers, major label artists, and even record company executives come than songwriters. For sure, even established (famous!) acts are trying to get their songs into Film and TV...it's that important in this modern age of music.

In addition, because only about 30 applicants are accepted for the Film and TV Showcase (and there are nearly the same number of Film/TV Supes in attendance, looking for material for their current projects), the Film and TV Showcase is more expensive to attend than our regular Expos.

So for these reasons, we have to pre-qualify everyone who wants to present their material at the Film/TV Showcase.

Having said all this, each year there are usually 2-3 slots open for newcomers to fill, if they qualify.

Do you think the Film and TV Showcase (May 17-19 2018 in Ventura Beach CA at the Crowne Plaza) might be for you?

If YES, CALL JIM ATTEBERY IMMEDIATELY at 970-259-9747 and express your interest. The spots available will be gone soon so HURRY if you think you would like to attend.

As always, THANKS FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY and GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOUR ENDEAVORS!

All the best, Jim, Jack and our entire Expo Team!
