WOW! It's a shame that we have to pick just one Grand Prize winner in our "Write With a Hit-Maker" Contest! Our final judging teams in Los Angeles and Nashville really had their work cut out for them this year but finally...

There are still great airfares out there into LAX and Burbank. This week, for instance, Southwest Airlines had fairs as low as $99. Frontier and USAir have also had some good rates. And, good news for the many that will be driving in from points all over, GAS PRICES ARE DOWN (a little higher in California than elsewhere, FYI).

Our little meet and greet at SOhO in Santa Barbara Wednesday, February 25th has a time change. We'll be there from about 6-10pm. Chuck Cannon has been added to the bill! Wow! If you are in town on Wednesday, definitely try to come by...our little "pre-Expo" is always a lot of fun.

IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT GUESTROOMSThe hotel rooms we have reserved for the EXPO (2/26-28) at the Marriott in Buellton are starting to be released to the public. This is standard policy so we don't hold rooms we don't need. Rooms may still be available at the Marriott (at the Durango Group price) right up until the Expo but there is no guarantee. So book it right away if you want to stay where the action is pretty much 'round the clock when we are there!
Our next Expo will take place Feb 26-28, 2009 in Santa Ynez (Santa Barbara, CA). Click here to view and print out the Brochure/Registration PDF (or JPG).

If you've never been to our Santa Barbara Wine Country event, you should definitely try to come to this one! We've just secured the fantastic Jim Lauderdale as a headliner and we'll have the usual enormous contingent of top-notch industry movers and shakers...plus many surprises, as always!
