Meghan Trainor is a 17 year old, award winning singer/songwriter who produces all of her own music in her home studio. Since attending last year's Durango Songwriter's Expo, where she was honored to be a showcase performer, she has had a very productive year.

Meghan finished her 2nd album, "I'll Sing with You" in December, right before her 17th birthday.
In January, she attended and performed at the 30-A Songwriter's Festival in Santa Rosa Beach. Fl.

Nashville was the destination for February. Her November Grand Prize in the New Orleans Songwriting contest (which she did not get to attend) awarded her a trip to Nashville to co-write with songwriter Jim McCormick. While in Nashville she was able to perform at famed The Bluebird Cafe and also take a tour of her dream college, Belmont University. She has been asked to come back to perform at The Bluebird Cafe this coming November.

Other festivals that Meghan attended that spring were the Cape May Singer Songwriters in March and the Montauk Music Festival in May, as well as her 2nd songwriter showcase at New York's Bitter End.

May also gave Meghan a chance to perform her signature song Take Care of Our Soldiers. A song she wrote as a thank you to our Troops from which all proceeds go to The USO and CAPE COD CARES FOR OUR TROOPS. Memorial Day weekend , CCC4TT hosts a 24 hour care package drive where Meghan is honored to perform.

This summer, many contest winnings were announced including: The 2011 John Lennon LOVE SONG Contest for her song "Learning to Say I Love You"; She won the Spring 2011 Tennessee COncerts Songwriting Contest for her song "You're Good With Me"; Best Pop Song in the 2011 Show Me The Music Contest for her song "Never Ever"; and she was a semi-finalist in the 2011 Song of the Year Contest for her song "Single".

These last two songs are available on Meghan's newly released 3rd album, ONLY 17. This album is predominantly POP with 3 songs that have a JAZZ influence, which she collaborated with her Dad on, and 1 song that has more of a COUNTRY feel to it.

All in all, it has been a great year, and Meghan is thrilled to be coming back to Durango, where she met so many great people last year and got so much valuable information.
